Holy moley - i’m back from 2 weeks of vacation and I don’t even know where to start.

We actually got back on Monday but things have been so crazy that this is the first time i’ve sat down at my computer since then.

We did 2 weeks in Orlando, Florida with my husband’s family.  Of course the hubs is still in Afghanistan so it was just me and the munchkin along for the ride.  We did 2 days of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, 2 days of Disney Epcot, one day of Disney Animal Kingdom, 3 days of Universal Studios, and capped it off with one day at NASA.  Our final day at Universal was also the day that the cousin who’s a huge Harry Potter fan joined us so she and I and my MiL basically spend the entire day in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley  and we did it ON HARRY’S BIRTHDAY (omg yay).  SO. Much. Win.  Universal had loads of great rides but I still feel like I missed seeing so much in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter that I’m ready to go back again.  We saw the wand demonstration, and bought wands at Ollivander’s (Snape’s wand for me - but I may add Luna’s to my collection), had ice cream at Florean Fortescue’s, shopped Weasley’s, Madam Milkin’s, Quality Quiddich, Borgin & Burke, Wiseacres, had lunch one day at the Three Broomsticks and at the Leaky Cauldron the next.  We rode the Hogwart’s Express both directions between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, walked Knockturn Alley, and saw the Knight Bus and No. 12 Grimmauld Place. AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I kinda want to live there.  (It inspired a 2 day marathon of all 8 movies that I just completed also)

On top of all the park fun (and I could go on and on more about all of that) we also had our first trip to the ER with Tommy.  He’s still only 10 months and I think that the constant change in climate from hot humid outdoor Florida to cold dry AC indoors was too much for his little system - especially since we was just getting over a bout of Roseola.  towards the end of the first week he was showing a little bit of a runny nose.  By Sunday evening i wasn’t totally happy with his breathing when he slept - and by Monday afternoon it was so fast & wheezy that we decided to take him to the ER.  After an Albuterol breathing treatment and chest x-rays the doctor thought it could be either a touch of pneumonia or a slight ear infection and sent us on our way with prescriptions for an inhaler with mask and 10 days worth of Amoxicillin.  Yesterday was the last day of antibiotics and I feel like I’ve finally got my kid back!

Then just for the icing on the cake… the day after we got back our roommates (the hub’s brother + girlfriend) have broken up and are both in the process of moving out.  She’s packed up most of her stuff and gone to live with a coworker.  He’s still here for most of August - we’ll see what he ends up doing in September.  I’m not sure what he thinks he’s going to do about transportation if he moves out.  He’s been borrowing my “extra” car so that someone’s using it regularly while the hubs is gone.  He’s in charge of oil changes, car washes & gas but the car is still in my name and I’m still paying for the registration and the insurance on it.  If he thinks he’s going to continue that arrangement when he’s no longer living here he’s sure got another thing coming!

So there it is - my recap of events for the last 2.5 weeks - it’s been wild but i wouldn’t have traded my vacation for anything.  Glad to be back!

The Tenth Doctor’s Suit Button Analysis - now in Tumblr-image form!

Because the manner in which the suit is buttoned is important.  No, really.  It is!

In all honesty though, I’m rather impressed that DT took it upon himself to change it up.  Keeping up with these tiniest of details is just another sign of how dedicated he was to Doctor Who.

The list owes much to Unfolded73’s Button Analysis on LiveJournal. As far as I’m aware she was the first to do the analysis back in March 2009 and share it with the world.

For the pedant in us all.
